Tragedy in Red is the 1st stage of Bad to Worse. Next stage: Doom Paradise.
A very tight enemy limit filled with Those Guys at the start, with J.K. Bun Bun and Red Cyclone (999,999 HP, 92,000 damage) queued behind them — and the two bosses' shockwaves spawning back to back.
- The moment one of Those Guys dies, the bosses start releasing. Consider a Rich Cat, or let Those Guys hit the base to bank cash; Attacks Only or Long Distance units are the alternative.
- The real danger is the boss shockwaves, not the bosses: if both fire in quick succession your heavy hitters land behind the Cat Base. Hold the important units until after J.K. Bun Bun spawns, and save the Cat Cannon and crowd-controllers for right after Red Cyclone's shockwave.
- Knocking J.K. Bun Bun back at the start of the stage also keeps your army from being thrown behind the base.
- It is also possible to rush the stage down before Red Cyclone spawns.
Red/Floating heavy hitter with high HP and damage; a recurring Stories of Legend trigger-wave boss.
Red Cyclone deals absurd damage and attacks non-stop, destroying anything it touches in less than a second. However, it has one of the shortest ranges in the game, somewhat slow speed, and two exploitable traits.
J.K Bun Bun and Red Cyclone are Red. Anti-Red units take less damage and deal more.
J.K Bun Bun and Red Cyclone are Floating. Anti-Floating units take less damage and deal more.
J.K Bun Bun reaches 200 range. Units that out-range it can chip safely without taking hits.
Red Cyclone has a deep HP pool (999,999+ even before stage magnification). Heavy single-target burst shortens the fight.
6 enemy types stack up here. Area attackers hit the whole push at once instead of one unit at a time.
