RAGING BAHAMUT CAT

Moon is the 48th stage of Into the Future Ch.3. Previous stage: Floating Continent.

HOW TO BEAT MOON

Nothing on this Moon matters until you take the base below 75%. At 450,000 of its 600,000 HP, Raging Bahamut Cat spawns, and he brings Hyppohs, LeMurrs and Imperator Saels with him. He hits for 44,444 in an area, moves at speed 40, and reaches 320. The level-20 answer is to let him come to you: fight him in front of your own base, behind a stack of cheap meatshields, with long-range damage he can't reach. No gacha units needed, but every treasure is.

The lineup that does it

Ten slots, all level 20 with plus levels, and no gacha units. Five 75–150¢ meatshields: Crazed Macho Cat, Macho Cat, Samba Cat, Wall Cat and Crazed Wall Cat. Crazed Sexy Legs as a tougher wall. Dragon Cat and Crazed Dragon Cat for ranged damage from behind the wall. Holy Valkyrie, and Crazed Bahamut for burst. The Crazed units come from the monthly Crazed stages, not the gacha. If you own Ururun Cat or another Uber with good range, put it in the plain Dragon Cat's slot.

Treasures

This lineup only works with a full treasure set: every Empire of Cats treasure at Superior, plus both unstarred-Alien crystals at 100% in all three Into the Future chapters. Every enemy here is an Alien, so each missing crystal leaves them all at a higher magnification. Without the full set, Raging Bahamut and his escorts last longer, and a slow fight runs into the Alpackies (see below). If players say this plan 'didn't work', the cause is almost always a missing treasure, not the lineup. Items are optional, but a Rich Cat makes the opening easier.

Open small, then let him come

Before 75% the field is just Shibaliens, three Kroxos and one Mistress Celeboodle, so a small push can scratch the base. When it drops to 450,000, Raging Bahamut spawns and your first units die. That's fine. Don't send anything into him out on the field. Fire the cat cannon, then start spamming meatshields right in front of your own base, so he walks into a wall that refills faster than he can clear it.

Wall first, damage second

Give the meatshield stack a few seconds to build before you send the damage. Once it holds, send everything. Dragon Cats and Crazed Bahamut outrange his 320, so they can hit him from behind the wall. Send Holy Valkyrie late. She's fast, and if she goes out early she runs ahead of the wall and dies to one swing. Money isn't the limit here: the wallet barely drops under 4,000¢ all fight, so Cat CPU can play this lineup for you.

The cannon, and the clock

Using the cannon during the fight is up to you. It can interrupt Raging Bahamut's attack, but that resets his backswing, and the next swing can catch Holy Valkyrie. The plan wins either way. What actually decides the run is time. Two Alpackies spawn if the fight lasts about 6½ minutes. They're Base Destroyers with 550 range, and they finish more players than Bahamut does. If Bahamut dies and you still lose, you were too slow, and that usually means a missing treasure.

With gacha units

Keep the same row of meatshields, and add one ranged attacker plus one anti-Alien. For the ranged slot, Drama Cats have more range than Paris Cat and cost less over the fight, and Polevaulter Cat works too. For anti-Alien, Castaway Cat or Psychocat. For extra meat, Jiangshi Cat (Pogo Cat's True Form) can survive an extra hit and still hold the line.

THE SHORT VERSIONScratch the base to 450,000, let your first units die, and fight Raging Bahamut in front of your own base: meatshields first, then Dragons and Crazed Bahamut from out of his 320 range, with Holy Valkyrie sent late. Every treasure, or the Alpackies arrive before you finish.
